Snowday pranced around the field like a newborn foal that had just found its legs. The Elshire field was so much more spacious than the cramped stable that she had been in for two weeks before she was evaluated and put up for auction at the Oplo Import Centre. And the Elshire Stables were impeccable and huge, and always clean. The owners and stable hands had treated her and Alacris like queens ever since they had arrived, and she and Alacris were getting along with the other mares just fine. And then there was Tuxedo, the stallion who was only a year older than Snowday. He was so determined to get her attention. He was a showoff to all of the Oplo Alogo mares, but his attention was more focused on Snowday than anything. And Snowday just ignored him.
Until this day.
Tripp and one of his friends (who was also a stable-hand at Elshire Stables) were riding over to the East Trails near the cow-field on their horses to take them for good exercise, when Tripp's friend James pointed it out.
"Tripp, look over there! Snowday n' Tuxedo!"
Snowday trotted over to the fence and was quickly greeted by Tuxedo, who was more than eager to socialize with the beautiful mare. Snowday, instead of snorting and walking away like she had been doing for the past 5 days, stood and let him groom her. And, she groomed him back. They stood there for the longest time, mutually grooming one another.
"Tux ain't that bad, is he Snow!" Shouted James towards the mare.
Snowday: *lifts her head and let out a whinny.*
